Hints & Tips
Helping you compile your winning entries
Each entry must include the following:
• Completed entry form (three copies)
• Appropriate entry fee (£70.00+VAT for your first entry, and £50.00+VAT for any subsequent entries)
• Your written entry paper (15 copies)
• Relevant support material (one copy)
Your written entry paper must not be more than the word count stated for the category you are entering. All entries should be typed or printed. Handwritten entries or those not presented to professional standards will be excluded from the judging. Brevity in presentation is always appreciated by the judges.
Please be sure to include 15 photocopies of each written entry paper with three copies of the entry form (these can be photocopied) for each category you enter.
To support your written entry, where relevant, you are allowed to provide back-up material produced for the project. This will enable you to expand on your basic entry, to evidence the success of your project. The support material can be referred to in your written work for the judges to consider at the time of judging. Supporting material may vary depending on the category but canbe any of the following: branded media coverage; photograph; sales figures; etc. DVDs may also be submitted to support an entry in any category.
Please note that the judges will only have the opportunity to watch approximately 2 minutes of each DVD so please ensure that the work submitted is relevant and concise.
The above is only suggested support material; you are able to send whatever you feel is appropriate for your entry, as long as it is relevant. Please do not send reams of press releases or other promotional work if they are all the same.
It is better to be targeted than copious.
All material must be clearly labelled and in the case of press cuttings, must be to A4 size.
If the support material is entered into more than one category, please indicate this clearly on the support material.
In those categories where filled pack examples are requested, please advise the event manager if your pack is heavy or large as special arrangements for delivery and storage will need to be made.
